Woof Wear Medical Hoof Boot – All Sizes

The Woof Wear Medical Hoofboot is a unique close fitting hoof boot designed to keep wounds, poultices and dressings clean. This durable boot is suitable for stable and turnout use enabling your horse to enjoy some freedom instead of being kept in his stable.

The Woof Wear Medical Hoofboot features a grooved sole for extra grip and a Kevlar® interior for durability. It also has an asymmetric zip to give the boot a really close fit (and prevent it opening) stopping bedding and other debris from getting inside.

The Woof Wear Medical Hoofboot is available in 10 different sizes based on shoe size. (See the size guide). The boot is designed for use with or without a shoe. It can assist in a number of ailments to the foot such as abscesses, punctured sole or bruised sole.

The boot is machine washable at 30 degrees.

Overreaching

If you are using the Medical Hoof Boot in place of an overreach boot to prevent shoe loss. The MHB is not designed for this application and will not protect against overreaching.

If a horse is inclined to overreach then an overreach boot should be used over the MHB to protect both the horse and the MHB from damage.

 

Measure, Measure, Measure…

The MHB is designed to be a snug fit so it doesn’t fall off.

Please measure accurately and please do not buy a size that is too big which often results in damage to the MHB due to the boot being trodden on by the other foot.

Measuring Rules:

Measure width and length carefully before bandaging, with or without a shoe

Choose size per guide (don’t go to next size up)

No need to add extra for dressings

If your horse’s foot does not fit within the measurements of a the boot size it will NOT be suitable, i.e. if the length fits a size 5 and the width is a size 4, a size 5 boot will be too wide and therefore liable to get trodden on and broken, and vice versa.
