Smart Manes Professional Thinners – All Blades

The Smart Manes revolutionary horse mane thinners or rakes are one of the only products on the market that actually thin thick manes, and give the pulled look without discomfort. A full mane can be transformed to a “pulled” mane ready for the show ring.

The Smart Manes range (wooden handles) have a replaceable blade system with a nut and screw on the side of the head to allow the blade to be replaced when blunt, or interchanged with another grade of blade if required.

Using the same principle as Smart Tails, the Smart Manes have a slightly wider blade width of 3″ and are brilliant on thick unruly manes. For best results brush the mane on to the ‘wrong’ side, use the Smart Manes in a downward motion, repeating several times over thick areas.

Easy and quick to use, these tools are also suitable for removing thick undercoat, dematting and taking out loose moulting hair from some dog breeds as well as horses; leaving the coat thinned and easily managed.

Which Blade to choose?
These are both suitable for use on medium sized dogs and for thinning thick manes.
