The French Link Loose Ring Bradoon is much less severe than a single jointed bit. The double joint in the centre of the mouthpiece removes the nutcracker action.
The loose ring is useful for horses who like some movement within the mouthpiece and the smaller rings can be used in conjunction with a weymouth on a double bridle or for ponies with small heads.
