The Curved Eggbutt Snaffle is a single jointed bit. The single joint creates a nutcracker action within the mouth, so is considered to be more severe than the french link or lozenge. However, the curved mouthpiece provides more room for the horse’s tongue and therefore can help to reduce tongue evasions caused by pressure.
