The Shires Equestrian Bevel/Loop Ring Bits with a brass alloy lozenge and mouthpiece are double-jointed bits.
The Brass alloy is copper alloyed with a harder metal to produce warm, durable bits, which aid salivation and are more palatable than stainless steel.
The lozenge link removes the nutcracker action within the mouth, so is considered to be less severe than single joint whilst the Brass Alloy metal helps with mouthing and salivation.
The placement of the rein in the bottom loop (within the snaffle ring) acts to increase pressure on the poll when the rein aid is applied.
The bit rings are made from stainless steel.
4.5″ and 5″ bits have 55mm rings
5.5″ bit has 70mm fings
16mm mouthpiece
