Red Horse Honey Heal is a honey and Zinc Oxide based healing and mud fever cream.

Red Horse originally mixed HoneyHeal up to treat stubborn mud fever on a young stallion who didn’t like his legs being handled, improvement was seen after one treatment and no mud fever by the 3rd.  

Since then they have tweaked and improved Honey Heal and it is proving to be an invaluable remedy. Honey Heal has been found incredibly useful not only for mud fever but also for almost any superficial wound, on feet it has been used against thrush, frog abscesses, soft frogs, sore heels. 

When applied HoneyHeal is incredibly sticky so gives brilliant wound contact and adhesion also forming a barrier to infection.  Unlike some other healing creams HoneyHeal contains 40% Zinc Oxide as a primary antimicrobial and healing agent.

Most healing creams contain less than 20% just look at the labels.

Honey shows potent antibacterial activity and is very effective in clearing infection in wounds and protecting wounds from becoming infected. It also has a debriding action, an anti-inflammatory action, and a stimulatory effect on cell regrowth.
