The Field Relief® Muzzle Protector should only be used in conjunction with a Safety Halter. It is dangerous to turn a horse out in an ordinary nylon headcollar because if the horse’s halter gets caught in fencing and it cannot break free, a serious accident might occur.

As the Muzzle Protector is covering the horse’s nose, it can get very mucky. It is important that you remove it daily and give it a good wash under the tap to clear the mesh of dirt & mucus.

Machine wash every couple of weeks.

How long can my horse wear the cover? All day but it does need to be removed and checked daily in case of irritation.

Care Instructions Wash in warm water using a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.

Do not tumble dry or dry over direct heat such as radiators. Do not wring or spin. Keep clean to avoid irritation. Rinse daily.
