Ascot Leather Hunting Breastplate – Brown Extra Full

This Breastplate is fully adjustable and comes complete with a Leather Lined running martingale attachment. The Breastplate is used to help keep the saddle in place & prevent it slipping backwards.

The addition of a running attachment assists with keeping the reins aligned and the horses head from getting too high.

 

The Standard Weight Breastplate features a 5/8″/16mm Neck Strap,1/2″/13mm Wither Straps and a 3/4″/19mm Strap to the Girth.

 

The Extra-Full Breastplate features a  5/8″/16mm Neck Strap, 1/2″/13mm Wither Straps and a 1″/25mm Strap to the Girth. ( For larger horses or extended use)

 

Leather should be cleaned and conditioned regularly to keep it supple and to prolong its life. Here are some useful tips on how to maintain your bridlework:-

i) Always apply leather conditioner several times before using new tack, this will soften and protect the leather before use.

ii) Remove sweat and grime everytime the bridlework is used, using a slightly damp sponge or cloth.

iii) Re-apply leather conditioner as necessary, climate and use effect this, like watering a plant too much is as bad as too little!
